Read That Sign! round 3
The more Hindi I learn, the more I see in my photos from India (summer 2006). Here's a detail from a picture of a street in Agra. I'm proud to say I got this one right away. Awesome site!! I'm glad I found you through Sheets, I'm an American with a huge passion for Indian Culture. Some of you may remember me as the former Drake Cyanide (long story as to why my blog got cut). Anyway, I love Bollywood, and have tried to pick up on as much Hindi as I can. I generally do this by watching movies over and over, and checking out books in the Library. I also dream of doing a backpacking tour of India someday. (sigh) Keep up the blog and I'll keep reading!

Hey! Mostly I checked out over and over and over a Rupert Snell book on beginner's Hindi. Oh, and I buy song CD's, print out the lyrics with translation on bollywoodlyrics.com, and study those (and sing, I love to sing even if it's in Hindi and I don't understand it half the time) I would love a study buddy. What's my first assignment? I will go back and read all of this sites entries to get up to speed. Talk to ya later

How are you coming along with it? I thought it was a really good book. I also love to memorize quotes from films. One of my favorites, which I wish I could say to an Indian girl someday, is: "Mujhe tumse pyaar ho gaaye"
